Volunteering opportunities available for NCS graduates

Headway Gloucestershire is lucky to have a fantastic team of volunteers working with us and NCS graduates are welcome to apply to join the team.

As part of your role within the Enablement Centre you will support survivors to engage in practical, therapeutic and creative activities designed to help them to develop their cognitive skills, confidence and self-esteem under the supervision of senior members of the Enablement team. You will be supported by the staff team and other volunteers.

You may be asked to undertake other duties for example taking part in the preparation of seasonal projects such as Christmas and Halloween: exhibitions and events aimed at raising awareness:- or gardening and painting projects, painting projects. All of these would be closely supervised and supported by a senior member of the Enablement team.

 

What we ask from NCS graduates

Ideally you will be able to give a morning, afternoon or full day on a regular basis. The centre is open from 9.30am to 3.30pm Monday to Friday.

To assist with housekeeping tasks, such as tea and coffee making, setting tables and clearing away

Other Requirements

Prospective volunteers must provide 2 referees.
